    Introduction Thank you for selecting the Xerox® 6279® Wide Format Solution , hereafter referred to as the machine.This guide explains how to operate the machine and the precautions that must be followed during operation. To get the most out of the machine and to use it effectively, be sure to read this guide before use.

    Read these Safety Notes carefully before using this product to ensure that you operate the equipment safely. Your Xerox product and recommended supplies have been designed and tested to meet strict safety requirements. These include safety agency approval, and compliance to established environmental standards.

    To ensure compliance with the European Union EMC directive 2004/108/EC your Xerox 6279 Wide Format Printer has been set to go into sleep mode after one hour (60 minutes) of inactivity. Any change to this time setting greater than one hour will cause the unit to be in noncompliance with this legally mandated EU EMC directive.
