    Getting Started Make sure you have read and understand this owner’s manual. Now you are ready to begin. Start by straddling the treadbelt with one foot on each traction strip. Press the button. The treadbelt will begin to move at 0.5 mph. START START You will be asked to enter your weight (defaulting to 155 lbs.).

    Running a Program The Pro Trainer Treadmill has 5 built-in programs and 2 user programs. The profiles of the built-in programs are viewable on the left side of the control panel. The green blocks represent elevation changes and the white graph lines above represent speed changes. During the program setup you will input your desired workout time and speed.

    Heart Rate Monitoring OPTIONAL Why should I monitor exercise intensity? Your heart is the most important muscle in your body and, like all muscles, must be exercised regularly to remain strong and efficient. According to fitness experts, exercise is more effective when you work out in a specific heart rate range or zone. This is referred to as your Target Heart Rate Zone (THRZ) and is reflected by the number of beats per minute your heart pumps.
