Positionthe cooktopin the cutout opening.Pre-threadholddown bolts
approximately2 inches into hold-downstraps. (2 each suppliedwith
4-burner model,4 eachsupplied with 6-burnermodel).Opencabinet d oors,
then reachup undercooktopand install hold-downbracketsinto slots in
eachendof burnerbox(seefigure15).Thetopof eachbracketshouldhook
intotheslot asshown.(Repeat f or frontand rearof6 burner-burner model.)
Tighten the bolt in each bracketto snug the unit top down against the
countertop. Seefigure 16. DO NOTOVERTIGHTEN.

BURNERIGNITION AND AUTO-REIGNITION
This applianceis equippedfor electronicauto-reignitionby means of a
spark igniterlocatedat the rearof each burner.The burnersaredesigned
tolightat anyvalverotation that admitssufficientgasflowto supportaflame
andto automaticallyretight f ollowinga tossofflame dueto a draft or other
adversecondition.This feature is providedas a convenienceand is not
intendedas a safetyfeature.
CAUTION: Never use a metal blade to pry off a control knob. tf a knob
cannot be easily removedtuck the folds of a cloth dishtowelunder and
aroundthe knoband pull the towel upwardwith steadyeven pressure.
CAUTION:Nevercover controlknobsorsurroundingcontrolsurfacewith
utensils,towels, or otherobjects.Neverobstructfree air passagepastthe
controlknobs.The knobopeningshavebeensized to properlycontrolair
entry to the interiorof the applianceduringoperation.
This appliance has no air shutters. Primary air adjustments are
unnecessary. Theburnersaredesignedto provideoptimumaerationforall
gases without air shutters. When operating properly, burners should
produceclearlydefined,evenblueflames. If theflameshaveyellowtips or
are hazy andotherwiseappearto haveinsufficientair,obtainthe services
of a qualifiedservicetechnician.
