3. Installation Ground Mount Installation Procedure Although ground mounting the power supply can be accomplished by several methods, the following procedure is recommended. 1. Select an appropriate site. Remove turf and level an area of approximately 24" x 24". 2. In accordance with local codes, install the disconnect box near the AC power source. NOTE The disconnect box should have a high-magnetic type circuit breaker, capable of passing short duration inrush currents, and have a 20A minimum rating (10A for...
3. Installation Electrical Connections To connect the wiring, perform the following steps: WARNING Verify the utility disconnect is off and that no conductors are energized before proceeding. 1. Open the housing cover and place a screwdriver blade in the small notch at the top of the housing to hold the cover in place.

3. Installation Electrical Connections, continued 5. Install a weatherproof conduit fitting in the utility knockout and pull the AC primary wiring into the cabinet. 6. Connect the AC high input (black) to the copper receptacle terminal, the AC neutral input (white) to the silver receptacle, and the utility protective ground (green) to the green receptacle terminal.
4. Operation Initial Start Up 1. Turn the utility disconnect on, and power will be applied to the cable at this time. 2. If desired, use a true RMS meter to record AC output voltage at the cable output conductor (yellow wire) and the cable ground. Operation The Lectro Broadband Ferro Power Supply is designed to provide regulated 60V, or 87V output from the 120Vac power line (230Vac for 50Hz units).
5. Maintenance CAUTION Lethal voltages are present underneath the chassis when the unit is in operation. For safety, be certain to unplug the input cord and the output cable before attempting service. NOTE Part of the unit’s thermal design is heat conduction from the transformer brackets to the cabinet of the power supply.
