    Display 12:00 COOL HEAT SLEEP WAKE SIDE Mode Indicators Selects the operation mode of the equipment. WAKE/SLEEP - indicates the stored program is running. HEAT - indicates the heat mode. COOL - indicates the air conditioning mode. OFF - indicates the entire system is turned off. Clock Display Indicates the current time of day.

    Basic Operation Select Desired Temperature In any mode, adjust the desired Set Temperature with 12:00 HEAT buttons. Pressing the up/down buttons in Heat or Cool modes will adjust only the heat or cool set temperature. Press Operation 12:00 Fan On indicates constant fan operation. This feature is active even if the thermostat is set to Off.
  • Page 7 Basic Operation Select Mode 12:00 HEAT The HEAT setting indicates the temperature the room has to reach before the furnace will turn on to heat the room. Press MODE/NEXT 12:00 COOL The COOL setting indicates the temperature the room has to reach before the air conditioner will turn on to cool the room.

  • Page 14 About Advanced Features & Operation ELECTRIC HEAT - Selecting Electric Heat on, page 9, step 6, will cause the thermostat to turn on the fan immediately any time there is a heat demand. Since all gas furnaces control the fan, this feature should be off unless the heater is only electric.
  • Page 15 About Advanced Features & Operation The most common way to program the EasyStat thermostat is to program it just as you would an alarm clock. You program the stat in the HEATING MODE, normal winter operation, and you can also program it in the COOLING MODE, normal summer operation.
  • Page 16 About Advanced Features & Operation Simply turn the thermostat down when you go to bed at night and then you wake up to a comfortable temperature. Turn the thermostat down when you leave for work and you will return to a comfortable temperature when you get home, at the same time receive the large energy savings, up to 30%, of not having your house heated or cooled when you are not there.
