To access the cartridge on an American Standard A-6801-100 bathroom faucet, follow these steps:
1. Turn the valve to the OFF position. 2. Remove the INSERT and HANDLE SCREW. 3. Slip the HANDLE with ADAPTER off. 4. Remove the SPRING CLIP. 5. Unscrew the CARTRIDGE with a wrench.

CAUTION Turn off hot and cold water supplies before beginning. SPOUT OR BASE ASSEMBLY Insert BASE or SPOUT shank through center hole of SINK, making sure RUBBER GASKET is properly positioned. Assemble RUBBER WASHER, RETAINER, and LOCKNUT onto threads of SPOUT from underside of SINK.
