A footswitch can be plugged into the rear panel FOOTSWITCH socket to control the effects. A passive
momentary action switch type as commonly found in music stores is required. However, it may be necessary to
modify the cable by fitting a 3-pole ¼" TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) jack plug and wire it according to the required
function as follows:

A momentary action dual-pole footswitch that shorts sleeve to
tip of jack through one pole and (separately through the other
pole) sleeve to ring of jack acts as an 'effects mute' toggle
switch. If a single pole switch is used, it will not work correctly.
A momentary action footswitch that shorts sleeve to tip of jack
will duplicate the front panel 'Sel' switch to select the effects
type.
A momentary action footswitch that shorts sleeve to ring of jack
will duplicate the front panel 'Bank' switch to toggle between
the two banks of effects.
It is possible to solder two or three footswitches to one jack
plug to control all three functions.
