The WZ12:2DX and WZ16:2DX are provided with a built-in stereo digital effects processor. This can be
configured as a single stereo effect fed from aux 5 or as two independent stereo effects fed respectively from
aux 5 and aux 6.

FFECTS
In both single and dual modes the processed signal is routed internally to
the ST1 stereo return as shown below. This connection is after the ST1
input connectors so external signal processing can also be patched into
this input if required. This way you can have the internal and external
effects mixing into one stereo return input. This provides up to three stereo
effects returning through ST1. The processed signals can be routed to LR,
Aux 1 and Aux 2 using the stereo return facilities. Note that Aux 5 and 6

sends are always available on their respective connectors. The internal

SELECT – Press this key to toggle through the available effects. The

column of 8 LEDs displays which effect is active. The last position with all
LEDs off disables the internal effects unit. Release the key once you have
reached the effect number you want.
BANK – The red LED lights when the second bank of 8 effects is active. In
single mode this selects effects 9 to 16. In dual mode this selects between
the Aux5 effects (1-8) and the independent Aux6 effects (9-16).
MODE – Selects single mode (switch up) or dual mode (switch down). Use
a pointed implement such as a pen tip to access the switch. It is under
panel to protect it from accidental operation during live performance.
The effects preset type is printed on the front panel. The Aux5 and Aux6
dual mode types are shown at the top, the Aux5 single mode types below.
These are the factory defaults. They can be overwritten with your own user
preferences using the Allen & Heath effects editing software running on a
PC and communicating with the MixWizard via MIDI.
RESET - To restore the factory defaults hold down the SELECT key while
powering up the mixer. The 8 FX LEDs flash in sequence followed by the
BANK LED flashing on then off to confirm the reset.
