4.05 Secondary DC Power

The PX50 is also equipped for 12V DC power operation. This can be used for primary
power in the field, or backup power to your primary AC source. If your are using 12
VDC to power the unit, you do not need to make any adjustments to the settings on the
power supply. A 4-pin power connector is provided, and is should be connected as fol-
lows:

4.06 Audio Inputs

The PX50 has standard XLR balanced 0Vu @ +4dBu (1.23VRMS) line level audio inputs
for left and right channels. You cannot plug a microphone into line level audio inputs.
You would typically connect the line level program output of your studio, mixer, or
source to the inputs of the PX1.

4.07 MPX Input

If you will be broadcasting a sub carrier, your SCA encoder is connected here. If you
provide RDS encoded data, it is also connected to the MPX input. This is a standard
BNC input. This input has a 100 ohm input impedance.

4.08 Pilot Output

This connection provides a 19 KHz pilot for synchronizing your external subcarrier input.
This is a standard BNC output.

4.09 Antenna

Connect your antenna system here. Connection is via a Type-N 50 ohm connector.
