Problem
Inverter is in
overvoltage
shutdown.
Inverter is in
overload shutdown.
Inverter is in internal
over temperature
shutdown.
Inverter is in short
circuit shutdown.
Inverter internal
problem.
Low output voltage
(96 VAC–104 VAC)
Possible Cause
High input voltage
Load applied is above the
continuous operation
limit.
Ambient temperature is
too high.
Load applied is above the
continuous operation
limit.
Inverter has short-
circuited.
Internal fuse blown.
You are using a voltmeter
that cannot accurately
read the RMS voltage of a
modified sine wave.
Troubleshooting Reference
Solution
Make sure the inverter is
connected to a 12 V battery.
Check the voltage regulation of
the charging system.
To reset: turn power switch off
then on again.
Reduce the load if continuous
operation is required.
To reset: turn power switch off
then on again.
Reduce the ambient
temperature.
Reduce the load if continuous
operation is required.
Disconnect DC power to the
inverter. Have a qualified
electrician check the AC output
connections, wiring, and
appliances for indications of
short circuits.
To reset: turn inverter's main
O

On again.
Internal fuse is not
user-replaceable. See the
Warranty section for eligibility.
Use a true RMS reading
voltmeter such as the Fluke 87.
