Jump function

This function enables you to look up a word displayed on the explanation
screen in any dictionary of your choosing, and to register it in the EZ-Learn
word list.
Example: lavender

to select the first word you
can look up. Selected word will begin to
flash on and off.
Press
to select the last word.
* Press
to return to the previous
screen or to disable the cursor.

Select another word using the cursor
keys.
Example: species

Select Dictionary, Thesaurus,
Encyclopedia, Dictionary of Difficult
Words or EZ-Learn List by using

Example: Select Encyclopedia.
DICT Search for definitions in the Dictionary
THES Search for synonyms in the Thesaurus
ENCY Search for articles in the Encyclopedia
ODDW Search for definitions in the Dictionary of Difficult Words
Add To EZ-Learn List: Add the selected word to the EZ-Learn List.

* After you've looked up the definition or
synonyms, you can return to the
previous display by pressing
* If there is a formula in an entry, the
marker will be displayed.
FORMULA
Select the marker and then press
to display the formula.

Spelling Guide

Pressing
while entering letters enables you to perform a phonetic
search within the range of the headwords in the Encyclopedia.

Type a word.
Example: sycology
* If there is no headword corresponding to
the sequence of letters you have entered,
the words closest in spelling will be
displayed in order.

A list of words that are phonetically
similar to the entered word will be
displayed.
Use

to select the
headword as necessary.

* Return to the list by pressing
* This function cannot be used for an
Encyclopedia category search.
