Phrase Finder

Look for the phrases in the Dictionary using the word you have entered.

Select "Phrase Finder" and then press
.

Type word(s).
Example: on take
* You can enter up to seven words.
This method will search for phrases
which include all words.
A space can be entered by using

The corresponding phrase list will be
displayed.

Select a phrase using
Example: take someone on

Press .
The selected phrase and its definition
will be displayed at the top of the
screen. Note that the selected phrase is
displayed within its full dictionary entry,
not on its own.
* Return to the phrase list by pressing

Definition Search

The unit will find the Dictionary entries whose definitions contain the
word(s) you enter.

Select " Definition Search" and then
press .

Type word(s).
Example: alcoholic drink
* You can enter up to seven words.
This method will find the entries which
contain all the entered words in their
definitions.
A space can be entered by using

Press .
The corresponding headword list will be
displayed.

Select a headword using the cursor keys.
Example: aperitif

Press .
The definition for the headword
"aperitif" will be displayed.
* Return to the headword list by pressing
.
* To enter a number, press
after entering the character of Q, W, ... P.
A number is available as a keyword as
an era.
