If your VCR does not work properly check the following points before calling a service technician.

Press TIMER REC to turn OFF the timer.

other channel between 23 and 69 that is
not preset to a TV station.
Press TV/VCR to indicate "VCR" on the display.
Place a piece of adhesive tape over the
gap.
Set the clock.
Press TIMER REC to turn OFF the timer.
The clock symbol must be unlit.
Press TIMER REC to turn ON the timer.
The clock symbol must be lit.
Set the current time correctly.
For timer recordings the BS receiver must
always be ON.
Tune in the desired TV program on the BS receiver.
Try another tape.
Use TR + or – to adjust manually.
Call a service technician.
Try another tape.
Aim it at the remote sensor.
Shorten the distance to the VCR.
Reduce the light in the room.
Clear the path of the beam.
Replace the batteries.
