Slow Motion Playback
This lets you slow down playback speed.
E (GUIDE) button for 1 second during playback.

To return to normal playback, move the control stick up.
There is no sound during Still, Frame-by-Frame or Slow Motion playback.
Depending on the disc and the playback location on the disc, the prohibited mark "
may be displayed indicating that Still, Frame-by-Frame and Slow Motion playback are not
possible.
With some discs, images may be unclear during Frame-by-Frame and Slow Motion play-
back.
Reverse Frame-by-Frame playback and Reverse Slow Motion playback are possible, only
connecting the XDV-P9 or XDV-P9
sOperating using Information Display 1
Specify Title, Chapter or Time to search for a desired scene and play it back.
1 Push the joystick left/right to select Title or Chapter (or Track) in Information Display
1.
The selected item is indicated in green.
2 Push the joystick up/down to indicate the desired number.
3 Press the joystick directly down to complete selection.
You can also specify a Title, Chapter or Time directly without using an Information Display.
(Refer to page 140).
With discs that feature menus, you can press MENU button to select for display of menu
indications.
Some discs may feature a prohibited mark, indicating that display of Title and Chapter indi-
cations is not possible.
You cannot specify a Chapter when in the Stop mode.
If you perform no operation for about eight seconds, the specified number becomes
invalid.
Specifying time
You can specify a time from which playback starts. (Time search)
1 Push the joystick left/right to select Time in Information Display 1.
The selected item is indicated in green.
2 Input the desired time with the numeric keypad.
Examples:
10 minutes 09 seconds: press 1, 0, 0, and 9 in order.
78 min 00 sec: press 7, 8, 0 and 0 in order.
Press CLEAR button to delete input numbers.
3 Press the joystick directly down to complete selection.
