Combining and Using Pioneer AV Equipment

To Ensure Safe Driving

• In some countries or states the viewing of images on a display inside a vehicle even
by persons other than the driver may be illegal. Where such regulations apply, they
must be obeyed.

Before Using

Described in this section is the information you need to understand before using the Naviga-
tion System combined with the Pioneer AV Head Unit and the Remote Control operational
instruction.
sCharacteristics of the Navigation System when combined with
Pioneer AV Head Unit
When the Navigation System is combined with Pioneer AV Head Unit, AVH-P6400CD or
AVH-P6400R, you can connect Pioneer AV equipments by using IP-BUS or AV-BUS. When
the AV equipment and navigation units are connected together it is possible to mix the infor-
mation displayed on the screen. If Navigation is selected as a Priority then basic audio infor-
mation can also be shown as well as the map. If the audio is the priority then the basic Navi
icons can also be displayed.
In addition to this when these two units are connected together some AV features can be con-
trolled by the voice control system of the navigation.
