Generator Shut-Down Procedure - MULTIQUIP Power WHISPERWATT DCA-400SPK Parts And Operation Manual

Engine Shutdown
To shutdown the generator use the following procedure:
1. Place both the MAIN, GFCI and LOAD circuit breakers
to the "OFF position".
2. Let the engine cool by running it for 3-5 minutes with no
load applied.
3. Place the Off/Manual/Auto Switch (Figure 51) in the "OFF/
RESET" position

4. Verify that the "Engine Running" status LED (Figure 52)
on the Microprocessor Engine Control Module (MPEC)
display is "OFF" (not lit).

5. Remove the load from the UVWO terminal strip (Figure 18
on page 48).

Emergency Stop
1. To stop the engine in the event of an emergency, PUSH
the emergency stop button ( Figure 53) inward. This button
is located on the generator's engine operating panel,
see page 30, Figure 11.

CAUTION:
NEVER stop the engine suddenly except
in an emergency. DO NOT use the
emergency stop switch a as method of
shutting down the engine. This switch is
ONLY to be used in the event of an
emergency.
