It seems to me that the battery of my navigation device becomes flat
relatively quickly when the device is not connected to an external power
supply.
Some settings can be configured so that energy consumption is
minimised.

If you have accidentally activated demo mode when you start the
navigation application for the first time, you can deactivate it again as
follows:

You will be prompted to confirm that you want the device reset to
the as-delivered state.

The software is re-started and behaves as if started for the first time
after being purchased (refer to "Switching on the navigation device"
on page 16).
Start the navigation software and set the Start in Demo Mode
setting to No (refer to "Starting the navigation application" on
page 25).
The proximity sensor is very late in responding to my hand. I have to
nearly touch the screen of the navigation device.
The reaction radius of the proximity sensor may be reduced under the
following conditions:
The navigation device is not connected to an external power supply.
You are using a charging cable that is not recommended by
NAVIGON expressly for your navigation system.
You are holding the navigation device in your hand.
You are using a cradle which is not the original cradle.
The navigation device is not mounted on the windscreen but in a
different place.
You are using an accessory that is not recommended by NAVIGON
expressly for your navigation system.
