2 Connecting Up
1 Connect the MD recorder's ribbon cable to the top of the Analog
Rec Adapter box (see Ribbon cables on page 15 for more on
connecting and disconnecting ribbon cables).
2 Plug the Analog Rec Adapter in to the
recorder (see Analog Rec Adapter on page 15 for information
on setting the switch and plugging into the rear panel). Plug
the other end (the ribbon cable) into the CD receiver.
3 If you have the optional CT–L77 tape deck, plug the ribbon
cable into the MJ–L77 MD recorder.
4 Connect the supplied mini-plug control cord from the CD
receiver (jack marked

5 Connect the supplied stereo cord between the

Connecting to other systems
If you're not using this recorder as part of the XC–L77 mini stereo
system, connect the analog jacks of this unit with a set of input and
output jacks on your amplifier/receiver:
1 Use a standard stereo cord (one is supplied with this recorder)
to connect the
LINE OUT
/ / - jacks* on your amplifier/receiver.

2 Use another standard stereo cord to connect the
jacks of this recorder with the
LINE IN
jacks* on your amplifier/receiver.

3 For digital recording, connect the
PDR–L77 with the optical out jack of your source component
(or amplifier/receiver with optical digital output) using the
supplied optical cord.
* Note: Different amplifiers may have differently labeled jacks. If
you're unsure which to use, look in your amplifier's manual under
connecting a tape deck.

2 Raccordements
1 Raccordez le câble plat de l'enregistreur CD sur le haut de la
boîte adaptateur d'enregistrement analogique (voir Câbles
