4. When the NetRAID adapter boots a mismatch will occur
between the disks and the NVRAM of the NetRAID adapter.
When this occurs open the NetRAID Ctrl-M utility and save the
disk configuration to NVRAM. Another solution here would be
to copy the configuration from the NetRAID Adapter of the
other IOP to floppy and restore on to the new NetRAID Adapter.
5. Save the configuration and boot the IOP into Online Mode.
6. Examine the Marathon Manager and enable any faulted devices.
7. Confirm the IOP joins the array and a re-mirroring begins.
After completing a maintenance procedure, you may need to enable a
component was previously disabled, faulted, or offline. If necessary,
re-enable any faulted or disabled components using Marathon
Manager commands, as follows:
Never assume it is okay to reboot a system. In the past,
troubleshooting Windows NT consisted of "reboot" and see if that
fixes it. In an HA environment care must be take to ensure the entire
system will not be taken down when a reboot is initiated.
Avoid taking an IOP offline unless absolutely necessary. Removing
an IOP and bringing it back online results in a disk re-mirror.
When inserting a Marathon cable, carefully align the pins and press
firmly. These cables take quite a bit of effort to seat them properly.
Once they have been pressed seated firmly by hand, tighten the
