Can't set the timer.

Issue
iPod playback doesn't work.
Some iPod functions don't work
as expected.
When playing a video on an
iPod, video playback does not
appear on the iPod's display.
The message "Unknown iPod" is
displayed.
The message "Disconnected" is
displayed.
USB storage device playback
Issue
Can't play content stored on a
USB mass storage device.
Can't play some files.

Possible cause
The clock has not yet been set.
The on and off times are set to the
same time.
Possible cause
The iPod is not seated in the
Yamaha iPod universal dock
properly.
The dock cable is not connected to
the Yamaha iPod universal dock or
DRX-730 properly.
Depending on your iPod model
and its firmware version, some iPod
functions may not work as
expected, and some may not work
at all.
The iPod is set to display video on a
TV.
The iPod is not supported.
There's no iPod in the Yamaha iPod
universal dock.
Possible cause
Not all USB storage devices are
recognized by the DRX-730.
Only USB storage devices
formatted with FAT16 or FAT32
are supported.
The USB storage device is
connected to a USB hub, but the
DRX-730 does not support USB
hubs.
Only MP3, WMA, MPEG-4 AAC,
and JPEG files with no copy
protection (DRM) can be played.
The file format is not supported.
Solution
Set the clock (see page 21).
Set the on and off times correctly
(see page 45).
Solution
Make sure the iPod is seated in the
Yamaha iPod universal dock
properly (see page 47).
Check the dock cable connections
and correct as necessary (see
page 47).
Make sure your iPod has the latest
firmware installed. See the Apple
Web site for details.
With the iPod seated in the Yamaha
iPod universal dock, set the iPod's
TV Out setting to Off.
Use only supported iPod models
(see page 47).
Insert your iPod into the Yamaha
iPod universal dock (see page 47).
Solution
Try another USB storage device.
Reformat the USB storage device
with FAT16 or FAT32.
Connect the USB storage device
directly to the DRX-730's USB port.
Use files with no copy protection.
Use only supported file formats
(see pages 62 and 63).
