PorcelainEnamelCooktop(on some models)
The
porcelain
enamel
finish
is smr(h
but breakable
if misused.
This
finish
is
acid-resistant.
Howexe_;
any acidic
fi}ods
spilled
(such
as fl'uitj
uices,
tomato
or
vinegar)
should
not be pemfitted
to remain
on the finish.
If acids
spill on the
cooktop
while
it is hot,
use a dry paper
towel
or cloth
to wipe
it up
fight
away.

wash
with
soap
and
water:
Rinse
well.
For other
spills such
as flit spattefings,
wash
with
soap
and
water
or cleansing
powders
after
the smtilce
has cooled,

Besure all the controls are turned to OFF and the
surface units are cool before attempting to remove
them.
To clean the stm'ilce milts, tm'n the control

Toremove a surface unit:
To remove
the drip pans for cleaning,
the
surfilce traits must be removed
fit_t.
Lift the st]itilce
trait about
1 inch above the
drip pan and pull it out.
Donot rift the surface unit more than 11' I f you do,
it may not fie fiat on the drippan when you plug it
back in.

Toreplace a surface unit:
Rei)lace the dri I) i)an into file recess in the
cooktop.
Make sm'e the opening

Insert the temfinals

refit
through
the opening
in the drip pan and
into the receptacle.
Guide
the smtilce
unit into place so it rests
evenly.
Donot/_nmerse the surfaceunits in
liquids of any kind
Donot dean the surface units in a
dishwasher
Donot bend the surface unit plug
terminals.
Donot attempt to dean, adjust or in any
way repair the plug-in receptacle.
Drip Pans (if
so equipped)
Remove
the smtace
units. Then
lift out the
drip
pans.
Place them
in a covered
containex:
Add
1/4 cup ammonia
and let soak several
hom_
or overnight.

rinse
well
and
{h_'.
The drip pans may also be cleaned
in the
dishwasher:
Clean the area under
the drip pans often.
Btfilt-up soil, espedally
grease, may cat{'h fire.
Do not cover the drip pans with foil. Using foil so
close to the receptacle could cause shock, fke or
damage to the range.
NOTE: Do not clean the drip pans in a
self-cleaning oven.
