Rating Scenes
You can turn on the scene rating option in recording mode with the

[Rate Scenes (Recording)] setting. Immediately after
recording a scene, you will have the option to rate it by touching
one of the rating buttons; you can also touch [
leave the scene unrated. Later you can play back scenes and per-
form other scene operations by rating.
About AUTO mode
• Only the following functions are available in
- Zoom (0 45).
- Quick Start (0 46).
- Video snapshot (0 61).
- Advanced image stabilization modes (0 81) to shoot video while
walking or to stabilize the shot while zooming in on faraway
subjects (telephoto).
- Face detection (0 83) to get beautiful shots of people every
time, tracking the subject even if the person moves.
- Touch & Track (0 85) to track other moving subjects, keeping
them in focus and using the best settings to record them.
- Story Creator (0 58) to transform your movies into compelling
video stories by following simple scripts for various scenarios.
- Decoration (0 62) to add a fun personal touch using stamps,
drawings, image mix and more.

About the Smart AUTO function

In mode, the camcorder will automatically detect certain
characteristics of the subject, background, lighting conditions, etc.
It will then adjust various settings (focus, exposure, color, image
stabilization, image quality, among others), selecting the best set-
tings for the scene you want to shoot. The Smart AUTO icon will
change to one of the following icons.
