About
the Ceramic
Glass Caaktap
The ceramic
caaktap
has radiant
surface elements
lacated
belaw the surface
af the glass. The design of the ceramic
caaktap
outlines the area af the
surface element
underneath.
Make sure the diameter
af the pan matches the
diameter
af the element
outline an the caaktap
(See Figure 1).
Heat is transferred
up through the surface af the caaktap
ta the caakware.
Only fiat-battom
caakware
shauld be used. The type and size af caakware,
the number af surface
elements
in use and their settings, are all factors
that
will affect
the amount
af heat that will spread ta areas beyond the surface
elements. The areas surrounding
the elements
may became
hat enough to
Cause
burns.
About
the Radiant
Surface
Elements
The
element
temperature
rises
gradually
and
evenly.
As the
temperature
rises, the element will glaw red. To maintain
the selected
setting, the dement
will cycle an and off. The heating
element
retains enough heat ta provide
a
uniform and consistent
heat during the off cycle. Far efficient
cooking,
turn
aft the element
several minutes befare cooking
is complete.
This will allow
residual heat ta complete
the cooking
process.

Elements
and Controls
Your range is equipped
with radiant
surface burners with different
wattage
ratings. The ability
ta heat faad quicker
and in larger
volumes increases as
the element
wattage
increases.
The radiant
surface elements
are lacated
an the caaktap
as fallaws:
2 smaller 6 inch radiant
elements
lacated
at the right and left rear pasitian;
- a dual 9 or 12 inch radiant
element
lacated
at the right frant pasitian;
- a 9 inch radiant
element
lacated
at the left frant pasitian.

have a limiter
that allaws the element

at the HI setting is narmal and can
alsa accur if the caakware
is too small far the radiant
element
ar if the
caakware
battam
is nat fiat (Refer ta page 10 far using correct
caakware
instructions
with the caaktap).
