Cooktop Lock feature j_j
Use the Cooktop Lock keypad to activate the
Cooktop
Cooktop Lock feature. This feature will lock all
Lock
cooking zones from being accidentally turned
ON. This feature will only lock the cooktop.
To turn Cooktop Lock feature ON:
1. Be sure all cooking zones are set to the OFF position.
2. Press and hold Cooktop Lock keypad until a 2nd beep
sounds. If a triple beep sounds instead, check all cooking
zones and turn them OFF and repeat this step. Once
activated the Cooktop Lock indicator light (See Fig. 1)
will display. The cooktop controls and functions are
locked out until the cooktop is unlocked.

Cooktop operational noises
The electronic processes involved with induction cooking
may create some unusual background noises. You could
hear a slight "buzz" sound when using the induction
cooking zones. These noises are normal and are a part of
the induction cooking process.
Some cookware may "buzz" louder depending on the
cookware base material and cookware contents. The
"buzz" sound may be more noticeable if the contents of
the pan are cold. As the cookware heats up, the sound will
decrease. If the power level setting is reduced, the sound
level will also decrease.
Important note:
When using the induction cooktop, operational noises
are more noticeable while cooking at the Pb level. Very
loud noises are not part of normal induction cooking.
To turn Cooktop Lock feature OFF:
1. Be sure all cooking zones controls are set to the OFF
position.
2. Press and hold Cooktop Lock until a 2nd beep sounds
(after 3 seconds). The Cooktop Lock indicator light will
turn OFF and the cooktop may be used for normal
cooking operations.
Important note:
Starting a Flex Clean cycle will automatically turn ON the
Cooktop Lock feature. The cooktop will remain locked until
the Flex Clean is finished and the oven door has unlocked.
If a power failure occurs after Cooktop Lock has been
activated, you must turn OFF the Cooktop Lock feature
before the cooktop features will be available again.
