Chapter 3
[169.254.100.1] is specified as the
default.Type in four values between [0-255]
and separated with [.]. Since each device
on a network must have a unique number,
do not specify the same number as the
computer. Users unfamiliar with network
requirements should use the default
setting.
Subnet Mask
Type in the subnet mask.
[255.255.0.0] is specified as the default.
Type in four values between [0-255] and
separated with [.]. Communication is not
possible if the same subnet mask is not
specified on both devices. If this setting is
changed, change the subnet mask on the
computer to the same setting. Since binary
number [1] from high-order bits is linked to
form a number, the subnet mask is a
number with a fixed pattern. Users
unfamiliar with network requirements
should use the default setting.
Communication Settings When Turned
ON
Select the communication mode when the
printer is turned on. Three settings ([USB
by Default], [Wireless LAN by Default]
and [Keep Current State]) are available.
The default setting is [Keep Current
State].
5 Maintenance
Click [Maintenance] to open the maintenance
dialog box.
Clean Unit
See Cleaning the Platen Roller on page 53.

Print Unit Settings
Click [Print Unit Settings] to print a report
containing firmware version, image quality,
and configuration information, as shown
below. The wireless settings are printed on
this page.
You can also print this report using the
(Feed) button (see Printing a Printer
Report on page 59).
Auto Paper Sensor Threshold
Adjustment
Click [Auto Paper Sensor Threshold
Adjustment] and follow the on-screen
instructions to adjust the paper detection
sensor automatically.
Factory Reset
Click [Factory Reset] to reset PJ-673
Utility to its default settings and send them
to the printer. The wireless LAN settings will
also return to their default settings.
6 Exit
Click [Exit] to exit PJ-673 Utility.
7 Send Settings
Click [Send Settings] to save the settings
displayed with a checkmark in PJ-673 Utility to
a configuration file on the computer and then
send the settings to the printer. These settings
become the default settings when the printer is
turned on.
