CAUTION: To prevent damage to the power interposer board (PIB), you must remove the power supply
module(s) from the system before removing the power interposer board or power distribution board (PDB).
2.
Remove the power supply module(s) from the back of the chassis.
3.
If applicable, rotate the system feet inward and lay the system on its side on a flat, stable surface.
NOTE: For systems installed with the wheel assembly, ensure that you lay the system on a sturdy, stable
surface with the wheel assembly extending off the edge of the surface.
4.
Open the system.
5.
Disconnect the power cables from the hard-drive backplane and the system board.
6.
Pull the release pin and detach the PIB from the PDB.
7.
Slide and lift the PIB up until the grooves on the PIB are free of the pins on the chassis.

troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or
telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your
warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.
1.
Remove the power interposer board.
2.
Remove the six screws securing the power distribution board (PDB) to the chassis.
3.
Lift the PDB up and out of the chassis.
