12 Troubleshooting Guide

12.1. User Recoverable Errors

If the unit detects a problem, one or more of the following messages will appear on the display.
The explanations given in the [ ] are for servicemen only.
DISPLAY MESSAGE
• The toner cartridge life is finished. Replace the toner cartridge immediately.
• The toner cartridge life is near its end. Replace the toner cartridge as soon as possible.
• Polygon motor error.
Refer to CALL SERVICE 1 (P.188).
• Laser beam error.
Refer to CALL SERVICE 2 (P.189).
• Fuser unit cannot heat up. Replace fuser unit.
Refer to CALL SERVICE 3 (P.190).
• Fuser Fan motor error. Replace Fuser Fan motor.
Refer to CALL SERVICE 4 (P.191).
• Bk motor error.
Refer to CALL SERVICE 5 (P.192).
• Charge unit error
(An error occurred in the Charge unit including High voltage unit. (Also the Charger went wrong.))

• PSU fan motor error
Refer to CALL SERVICE 11 (P.194).
• Color motor error
Refer to CALL SERVICE 12 (P.195).
• FTR (The First Transfer Roller) position error
Refer to CALL SERVICE 13 (P.196).
• Solenoid driver error
Refer to CALL SERVICE 14 (P.197).
• Pick up roller home position error
Refer to CALL SERVICE 15 (P.198).
• Fuse error of color drum cartridge
Refer to CALL SERVICE 16 (P.199).
• Fuse error of monochrome drum cartridge
Refer to CALL SERVICE 17 (P.200).
• Watch dog error of motor or heater
Refer to CALL SERVICE 18 (P.201).
• Monochrome drum driving solenoid error
Refer to CALL SERVICE 19 (P.202).
• Toner LED error
Refer to CALL SERVICE 20 (P.203).
• The document was not fed into the unit properly. Remove the document, then press [Stop] to clear the
message. Re-insert the document. If misfeeding occurs frequently, clean the document feeder rollers and
try again.
