Selecting an Auto Recording Mode

You can select one of two auto recording modes (Program Auto or Premium Auto
PRO) according to your digital imaging needs.

Press [ON/OFF] (Power) to turn on the camera.
The camera will enter the REC mode.
• If the camera is in the PLAY mode, press the shutter button.

Align the mode dial with [P] (Program Auto) or [Ÿ] (Premium Auto
PRO) to select Auto recording mode.

Description
This is the standard Auto recording mode.
With Premium Auto PRO recording, the camera
automatically determines whether you are shooting a
subject or scenery, and other conditions. Premium
Auto PRO recording delivers higher image quality
than Program Auto recording.
• It also requires more power (and runs down the
battery quicker) than Program Auto.
