    First, charge the battery prior to use. The camera and the controller each have a built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery. The batteries are not charged when you purchase the camera, so you will need to charge both the camera and controller before using them. If this happens, disconnect and then reconnect the USB cable. • A battery that has not been used for a long time, certain types of computers, and connection conditions can cause charging to take more than approximately five hours, which will trigger a timer that terminates charging automatically, even if the battery is not fully charged.
