INTERNET COMMUNICATION

Electronic mails or e-mails can be received by the apparatus, transmitted via a personal computer or e-mail-

enabled fax apparatus.

apparatus accept and recognise only TIFF documents. Any documents other than TIFF type, for instance,

BMP, IPG, GIF, TXT, DOC, XLS, etc., are received, an error message will be printed out to alert the

recipient. (See page 72). In this situation, the recipient has to inform the sender to convert his documents to

TIFF format before transmission. The converter software can be downloaded from the following website:

ISO 8859-1 character set

Note that the characters tabulated are acceptable and recognised by this apparatus. Any other characters

cannot be detected and therefore will not be printed legibly by this apparatus.
