Setting TAM from Remote Station

If you have an extension telephone connected to the same line, when a fax call is received via extension
telephone, the documents can still be received if you follow the steps below.

Answer a call on an extension telephone. If you hear beep
"Pi,Pi,", the other party wishes to send you a fax,

within 30 seconds after lifting up the handset.

Replace the handset. Fax reception starts.
Setting TAM from Remote Station
If you forget to set your apparatus to activate TAM, you can set it remotely. You must preset "REMOTE
PASSWORD" in TAM SETTING (See page 83), "IN/OUT REMOTE SET" to "ON" in TAM SETTING (See
page 83) and "RCV MODE (OUT)" to "FAX/TAM" in BASIC SETTING (See page 82) in advance.
When "MANUAL RCV" at "RCV MODE (IN)" is set:

Call your apparatus from a remote location.

Your apparatus will answer after 15 rings.

and after you hear a long beep, dial the
Remote Password and [#] button within 10
seconds. (You must use Tone dialling.)

1. Remote reception is not possible when a call is currently made from your apparatus.
NOTE
2. When system setting "REMOTE RCV" is set to "OFF", remote reception is not possible. (See
pages 81 and 84)
3. Remote reception may not be possible when dialling tones are heard at that instant the buttons
are pressed.

When "FAX/TEL" at "RCV MODE (IN)" is set:

Call your apparatus from a remote location.

Your apparatus answers.
When you hear the greeting message or ring
back tone,

and after you hear a long beep, dial the
Remote Password and [#] button within 10
seconds. (You must use Tone dialling.)
