Front panel controls

Standby / On

Standby/On
1
Switches the unit between Standby mode (indicated by dim power LED) and On (indicated
by bright power LED). Standby is a low power mode where the power consumption is
less than 10 Watts. The unit may be left in Standby mode when not in use.

Infrared sensor
Receives IR commands from the supplied remote control. A clear unobstructed line of
sight between the remote control and the sensor is required.

Stop/Eject
Press to open or close the disc tray. When a disc is playing, press once to stop playback.
Pressing Play will resume playback from the same position. Press Stop again to fully
stop playback, and again to eject the disc tray.

Disc tray
DVD/Compact Disc tray. Use the Stop/Eject button to open or close the tray.

Display
Used to display the Sonata DV30's functions and playback state, etc.

Play/Pause
Plays the disc and pauses (freezes) playback.

Skip
Press repeatedly to skip between tracks or chapters.
