Avaya IP Softphone requires an Avaya server that supports the single-connect registration protocol
(that is, Avaya MultiVantage™ software release 9.5 or later) and the minimum hardware and
software listed below:
I
an IBM-compatible PC with the following hardware:
– Telecommuter and Avaya IP Telephone configurations: a Pentium
Road Warrior configuration: a Pentium 400 MHz processor;
– a hard disk with at least 30 MB of space available
– Telecommuter and Avaya IP Telephone configurations: 128 MB of RAM for Microsoft
Windows
or Professional and Microsoft Windows NT
Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) and Microsoft Windows 98
Road Warrior configuration: 128 MB of RAM for Windows XP Professional/Home
Edition, Windows 2000 Server/Professional, and Windows NT 4.0 Server/Workstation;
64 MB for Windows Me and Windows 98
– a full-duplex sound device, speaker/headset, and a microphone (Road Warrior only)
– a network interface card for local area network (LAN) connectivity and/or a modem
(28.8 Kbps or faster) for dial-up networking
– a CD-ROM drive, a Windows compatible VGA (or better) adapter and pointing device

– Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition
– Microsoft Windows 2000 Server or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
