Ventilation to the dryer is
insufficient, e.g. because it is
installed in a room which is too
small.
The vent ducting or the
ventilation outlet is blocked.
The laundry has not been spun
sufficiently.
The tumble dryer has been
overloaded.
Metallic components, e.g. zips,
have prevented the dryer from
registering the correct moisture
level in the laundry.
* Before attempting to remedy the problem:
– Open and close the door.
– Switch the dryer off and then on again to start a programme.
Problem solving guide
Remedy
– Remove any fluff, hair or
residual detergents.
– Rinse the fluff filter if
necessary and dry it

it.
– If the above measures do not
remedy the problem follow
the advice below.
– Open a door or window while
the tumble dryer is in
operation for increased air
flow.
– Check all parts of the vent
ducting system on a regular
basis (e.g. wall pipe, external
grille, bends in the ducting
etc.) and make sure they are
all free of any hindrance.
– Remove any fluff, hair or
residual detergents.
– Make sure that your laundry
is thoroughly spun at the
appropriate spin speed.
– Do not exceed the maximum
load for the programme
selected.
– Open zips next time.
– If the problem occurs again,
dry garments with long zips
using "Warm air" (timed
