Drawing Up Bobbin Thread

1 Raise the presser foot and hold the needle thread
with your fingers.
Needle thread

2 Turn the handwheel one complete rotation toward
you and raise the needle to its highest position.
Pull the needle thread to pick up a loop of the
bobbin thread.
2 Bobbin thread
3 Draw 10 cm (4˝) of both threads to the back under
the presser foot.
