    NOTE • The PAD will be internally switched on or off when the gain of the DME8i-C/DME4io-C internal head amp is adjusted between –6 dB and –5 dB. Keep in mind that noise may be generated if there is a difference between the Hot and Cold output impedance of the external device connected to the INPUT connector when using phantom power.

    Connecting to an External Device Remote Connection ([REMOTE] Connector) The [REMOTE] connector of the DME Satellite can be connected to remotely-controllable Yamaha AD8HR or AD824 head amplifiers (pre-amps), digital mixers, or RS-232C compatible controllers (such as those from AMX or Crestron). The [REMOTE] connector also transmits and receives MIDI messages.

    Controlling DME Satellite’s internal head amps from a digital mixer Yamaha LS9 The internal head amp settings of a DME8i-C or DME4io-C can be remotely controlled from a digital mixer LS9. Use the MY16-CII interface card to make CobraNet connections between the digital mixer and the DME series.
