Lcd cable reseat procedure

Purpose



This document is intended to instruct a qualified Lenovo servicer on

performing a field repair to reseat the LCD cable of a ThinkPad X130e or

X131e.



Necessary items to complete the repairs outlined in this document:

−

(FRU: 04Y2035)  Tape kit (quantity = 20 pieces)

−

Phillips head screwdriver

−

Small scissors or straight edge



Important: This repair involves the removal and installation of non-

CRU'able items such as the system LCD. It is highly recommended an

experienced technician perform the repair in order to avoid damage that

could result in unnecessary parts replacements.


