WarNING :
to protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the fol-
lowing work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.
Install the needle bar thread take-up cover suppled
wth the unt on the machne arm wth two screws 1 .

<When using the sewing machine for the first time>
Lubrcatng ol has been taken out at the tme of delv-
ery. Be sure to supply lubrcatng ol before usng the
sewing machine for the first time.
• Ol used : JUKI GENUINE OIL 8
Remove ol hole cap 2 on whch "OIL" s ndcated and
fill the oil reservoir with lubricating oil up to the level
between the upper and lower engraved marker lnes.
<Checking before using the sewing machine>
) Check ol gauge 1 and make sure that lubrcatng
ol level s between the upper and lower two lnes.
When lubrcatng ol level lowers below the lower
lne, supply lubrcatng ol.
2) Make sure that lubrcatng ol comes out from the
nozzle of oil circulation identification window 3 when
1
rotatng the sewng machne. When lubrcatng ol
does not come out, perform
replacing the oil filter" p.28.
When you operate the sewing machine for the first time
or after an extended perod of dsuse, be sure to apply
2 to 3 drops of lubrcatng ol to needle bar 4 .
For the lubrcatng ol, use JUKI GENUINE OIL 8.
