Correcting Distorted Stitch Patterns

The sewing results of the stretch patterns may vary
depending upon the sewing conditions, such as sewing
speed, type of fabric, number of layers etc.

Always test sew on a scrap piece of the fabric that you
wish to use.
If stretch patterns are distorted, correct them with the
feed balancing dial.
q Feed balancing dial
• Stretch stitch pattern (Example: stitch pattern 20
If the pattern is compressed, turn the feed balancing
dial in the direction of "+".
If the pattern is drawn out, turn the feed balancing dial
in the direction of "–".
• Stitch balance of buttonhole 26
If the right row is denser, turn the feed balancing dial
in the direction of "+".
If the left row is denser, turn the feed balancing dial in
the direction of "–".
• Evenness of tacking
If the stitch does not meet the start position, turn the
feed balancing dial in the direction of "+".
If the stitch does not meet the return position, turn the
feed balancing dial in the direction of "–".
