DDL Compiler Commands
EDIT Command Example
The following example illustrates using EDIT to change a source file interactively. The
example also illustrates how DDL handles a default EDIT-file name and EDIT
parameter.

ERRORS Command

The ERRORS command specifies the number of compilation errors allowed before
DDL terminates the compilation
ERRORS [ max-errors ]
max-errors
is the maximum number of compilation errors allowed before DDL terminates
compilation of the source file. The number must be in the range 1–32767.
ERRORS Command Guidelines
The following points are guidelines for using the ERRORS command:
If the ERRORS command is omitted, compilation continues until the end of the
source file regardless of the number of errors.

Add a record
Close DDLFIL
Start an EDIT process; list DDLFIL
Correct a record
Add the record to the dictionary
Use the previous file and parameter
Stop the EDIT process
Exit from DDL
