DDL Compiler Commands
If an existing dictionary that you open with the DICT command is nonaudited, DDL
issues a warning message.
DICT Command Examples
To open a dictionary on the volume $DATA and subvolume SALES, enter:
?DICT $data.sales
If there is no dictionary on $DATA.SALES, DDL creates and then opens the dictionary.
To execute DDL interactively and then clear and open the dictionary on the current
subvolume, you could enter:
31> DDL
?DICT !
Alternatively, you could include the DICT command when you run DDL:
32> DDL DICT
In each of these examples, all objects defined by subsequent CONSTANT,
DEFINITION, RECORD, TOKEN-CODE, TOKEN-TYPE, and TOKEN-TYPE
statements are written to the open dictionary.

DICTN Command

The DICTN command instructs the DDL compiler to do the following:
Create and open a nonaudited dictionary on a specified subvolume or open an
existing dictionary on a specified subvolume.
Enter all subsequent DDL object definitions into the open dictionary.
Caution. The TMF cannot monitor nonaudited files. The integrity of a nonaudited dictionary on
an audited disk might be jeopardized if corruptions of the disk occur.
