INSTALLATION SUPPLEMENT
ANY TYPE GCL™ COMMERCIAL-INDUSTRIAL DOOR
OPERATOR CAN BE ORDERED AS A NEMA 4 OR 4X VERSION.
This supplement instruction is to be used in combination with the standard accompanying
GCL™ Installation Manual. This supplement contains NEMA 4 & 4X wiring instructions and an
illustrated parts breakdown which specifies parts included in the NEMA 4 & 4X GCL™ series of
operators. When installing a NEMA 4 or 4X operator, liquid tight conduit and fittings must be
used. Refer to NEC and local building codes for wiring and conduit requirements.
IMPORTANT: Prior to installing or operating an GCL™ NEMA 4 or 4X Operator, carefully read the GCL™ Installation Manual
and any other instructions and warnings accompanying the unit.
