    Protect the Front of an Elevated Platform fireplace opening by at least 2 in. (51 mm). • Protect the front of a platform elevated above the hearth extension with metal strips (not included with fireplace) per Figure 7.2. See Section 12 for hearth extension instructions. D. Clip • Lay one screen panel flat and slide the round end of the rod through the rings starting at the handle side of screen. Leave the last ring off the rod. • Insert the rod through the hole in the Inside Firebox bracket.
