sages appear, follow the instructions as displayed.

Causes
An irregular original is
placed. See p.12 "Sizes dif-
ficult to detect".
Original is not placed.
There is no copy paper in
the same orientation as the
originals.
An irregular paper size is
set.
A paper size for which Ro-
tate Sort is not available is
selected.
The Staple function cannot
be used with the paper size
selected.
A paper size not available
when using the Duplex
function has been selected.
The number of copies ex-
ceeds maximum copy
quantity.
Solutions
Place custom size originals on the
exposure glass. See p.14 "Placing
Originals on the Exposure Glass".
Input the horizontal and vertical
size of the custom size original. See
p.14 "Placing Originals on the Expo-
sure Glass".
Select paper manually, not with the
Auto Paper Select function.
Do not use the Auto Reduce/En-
large function.
Place originals.
Place the original in the same orien-
tation as the copy paper.
Press the {Start} key and copying
will start on the selected paper.
Select a proper paper size. See p.110
"Sort, Rotate Sort, Stack".
Select a paper size that can be used
with the Staple function. See p.112
"Staple".
Select a proper paper size. See p.114

You can change the maximum copy
