SeatAdjustment
1.
Toadjustthe positionofthe seat,remove the adjustmentknobonthe
bottomofthe seat.Slide the seatforwardor backward asdesired. R einstall
the adjustment k nob.Referto Figure 8.

Steering wheel height adjustment
NEVER operatethis tractor without either the mulchplugor deckchute
installed.
Remove t he wingknobsinstalledon the mowingdeckandretainfor later
installation.
2.
Installthe deckchuteintothe deck discharge openingon the deck. T hestuds
on the decksurface will fit throughthe holesonthe upperportionofthe
deckchute.Thesmalltab onthe decklip areawill fit throughthe square
cutoutonthe lowerportionof the deckchute.See insetof Figure 10.
Note: Makecertainthat the upper-rear p ortionof deckchuteisdepressing
the safetyswitchlocated on thedecksurface. T heenginewill not start
without thedeckchuteproperly in place.

Secure thedeckchutebytighteningthe wingknobsremoved earlier. S ee
Figure 10.
Toadjustthe heightof thesteeringwheel,thisunit isequipped with atelescoping
steeringcolumn. T oadjustthe heightof the steeringwheel:
1.
Sitinthe operator's seatandplace yourhands onthe steeringwheel.
2.
Push the button(a)onthe steeringcolumnandraiseor lowerthe steering
wheel(b)to the desired position.SeeFigure 9.
flete: Once the desired positionisachieved, l ift upanddownonthe steeringwheel
to makesureit locksinto placeandthe button(a)onthe steeringcolumnreleases
into alockedposition.Donot operatethisunit unless the steeringcolumnisina
lockedposition.
