Cassette Compartment
Insert a video cassette tape here.
Wireless Remote Sensor
Receives a signal f rom your remote control so
you canoperate the'I'V/VCR from a distance.
STOP/EJECT Button
Pressonce to stop the tape.When playbackis
stopped,pressto eject the tape. Press to
select an item in the menu.
VIDEO In Jack
Connect this jack to the video out jack of a
camcorder or aVCR. Detailsare on page 31.
AUDIO In Jack
Connect this jack to the audio out jackof a
camcorder or aVCR. Details are on page 31.
EARPHONE Jack
Connect earphones(not supplied) here for
personallistening.
REW(ind) Button
When tape playbackis stopped, press to rewind
the tape at high speed. During playback, p ress to
rewind the tape while the picture stayson the
screen.Press to changea setting of a pop up
menu item (for example,to adjust the BRIGHT-
NESS)or to return to a previous menu.
PLAY Button
Press to play a tape. Details are on page 28.
Press to release Slow, Search or Still mode
and return to normal playback. D etails are on
page 41. Press to select an item in the menu.
F,EVVD Button
When tape playback is stopped, pressto fast
forward the tape at high speed.During play-
back,pressto fast forward the tape while the
picturestayson the screen.Pressto changea
setting of a menu item (for example, t o adjust
the BRIGHTNESS)or to advance to the next
menu.
REC(ord)/OTR Button
Press once to start a recording. Detailsare on
page 29. Pressrepeatedly to start a One-
Touch Recording (an immediatetimed
recording, 30 minutes to eighthours long) of
the channelyou are watching.Detailsare on
page 30.
RECORD Light
This light appearsduring a recording. It flashes slowly when
the "I'V/VCR power is turned off to set a timer recording. It
blinksrapidly when a recording is pausedor when the power
is off for a timer recording, but there is no tape in the
"I'V/VCR.It will blink rapidly two minutesbefore a timer
recording is set to begin if the "I-V/VCR power is on.
