If a code starting with a letter of the
alphabet appears, your camera has a self-
diagnosis display. The last two digits
(indicated by E]E]) will dillcr depending (m
the state of the camera.
If you are unable to solve the problem even
after trying the lollowing corrective actions
a li:w times, your camera may need repair.
Contact your Sony dealer or local
authorized Sony service lhcility.

hardware. Turn the power off and on
again.

• The camera cannot read or x_rite data on
the "Memory Stick Duo". Either turn
off and on the camera or reqnsert the
"Memory Stick Duo" sexeral times.
• The internal memory has experienced a
fornlat error, or all unl(irmatted
"Memory Stick Duo" is inserted.
Format the internal memory or the
"Memory Stick Duo" (pages 62, 63).
• The inserted 'Memory Stick Duo"
cannot be used with your camera, or the
data is damaged. Insert a ne_ "Memory
Stick Duo" (page 1(t8).

Initialize the camera (page 66), then
turn the power on again.

the instructions.
Lens cap attached
• Remove the lens cap.
Turn the power off and on again

error.

batteries immediately (_ stu) l in
"Read This Fir*t"). Depending on the
conditions of use or Ihe type of battery,
the indicator may flash c',ell though
there are still 5 to Ill minutes of
remaining battery time left.
