Changing the motor protection filter
Cleaning the CleanStream® Washable HEPA Filter
1. Holding filter by its plastic frame, carefully remove filter from vacuum cleaner.
2. Rinse dirty side of filter under warm water, low pressure tap water. Water should flow
parallel to pleats. Angle filter to water stream to wash dirt from ridges of pleats.
• Avoid getting clean side of filter wet during washing. Wetting clean side will increase
drying time.
3. Angle filter and rinse from opposite direction. Continue this process until filter is clean.
4. Carefully shake water from surface of filter and allow filter to dry at least 60 minutes
before reinstalling filter in vacuum cleaner. Do not put damp filter back in vacuum
cleaner.
CAUTION: If your cartridge does not say "
reusable - Do Not Wash.
Cleaning the HEPA Filter
1. Holding filter by its plastic frame, carefully remove filter from vacuum cleaner.
2. Shake or brush filter over a waste container.
3. Replace in vacuum cleaner.
Important: Regular changing and cleaning of the filters is essential to ensure high
filtration of dust particles and will enhance your cleaners performance and extend its life-
span.
Note: See safety features on Page 16 to help you to identify when your filters may be
blocked and require changing.
Maintaining Good Performance
The motor filter should be changed at
least 3 to 4 times a year depending on
usage to ensure efficient performance
of your cleaner. To improve filtration the
motor filter is carbon impregnated to
absorb household smells.
HEPA filter
When the red filter indicator comes on
follow the steps 1 through 4 detailed
below. If after cleaning the indicator
light remains on, it is time to replace the
filter.
