    Using Your Cleaner Release the cord by turning down the top cord hook and connect to your electrical outlet. Tilt the cleaner towards you (1) and tap the pedal with your foot (2). The brushes will automatically come into contact with the floor. Switch on. For cleaning under furniture continue the downward movement of the handle and tap the pedal once more to bring the brushes into contact with the floor.

    Using the Accessories Simply remove the flexible hose and hose handle from the rear of the machine (Fig. A) and add to it any of the tools which are stored in the back of the machine (Fig. B). The dusting brush can be attached to any of the other tools as shown and can be used to clean small areas of carpets such as stair treads and cushion covers etc.

  • Page 9 Maintaining Good Performance Changing the motor protection filter The motor filter should be changed at least 3 to 4 times a year depending on usage to ensure efficient performance of your cleaner. To improve filtration the motor filter is carbon impregnated to absorb household smells.

    User Maintenance IMPORTANT: Switch the cleaner off and remove plug from electrical outlet before repairing or servicing your cleaner. Reduced pick-up . . . but no suction at hose handle Check all filters and replace if necessary. Particular attention should be paid to filter at the rear of the Cyclonic cassette. Check rear air-tube and unblock if necessary by following steps 1, 2 and 7.

  • Page 16 User Maintenance Changing the rubber drive belt and brush roller • The motor drives the brush roller by means of a rubber belt. To prevent damage to the belt, the motor should be switched off immediately if the roller becomes jammed by picking up large solid objects, carpet fringes or the like.
