Advances

SLOW - / +
Used for slow-motion
playback.
SPEED (Tape Speed)
Selects a recording
speed
(SP,LP, SLP).
STOP
Stops the normal function,; such as
record, playback,
rewind,
fast
forward,
and pause of the VCR.
TRACKING Up or Down
Lets you manually
reduce the streaks
that may appear on the picture
during
play, slow, or pause.
Reduces
picture "jitter" during
stop-
action playback.
TV-VCR
Swi:cl-es the picture signal so that it
either comes from the VCR or the TV
channel.

to set remote to control a compatible

may not work with the TV.
CHAN (Channel)
Up or Down
Selects next higher or lower
channel
in the TV's channel
memory

remote is set to control a TV.
CLEAR
Removes menus or status displays
from the screen.
DISPLAY
Shows the status displays
on the
screen.
Removes menus or displays from the
screen.
POWER
Turns off a compatible
TV when
remote is set to control that TV.
Used with TV button
to turn on a
compatible
TV that the remote has
been programmed
to control.

MUTE
Turns the TV sound on or off.

Select a channel up to 99 by pressing
two numbers.
To select a cable channel over 99,
press _nd hold 1 until 1--. appears
on
the sc::een. Then press the other two
numbers.
